Sacred Valley Connection to Machu Picchu is an excellent way to visit the renowned Inca sites. This two days tour starts with a full day Sacred Valley Trip and culminates at Machu Picchu.
The trip starts with a drive up to the Inca ruins of Pisac and the iconic market. Our local expert would give you a guided tour of the site. The tour would get more interesting as you would be offered authentic Peruvian meal for lunch in Urubamba.
Urubamba is referred to as the heart of Sacred Valley of Incas for its centric location. On this tour you would get to see sights from snow capped Andean peaks to agricultural terraces that has been existing since Incan civilisation. Later in the afternoon, we will drive to Ollantaytambo. Here you will be boarding a train to Aguas Calientes.
The second day of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu tour starts with a visit to the renowned Inca citadel, Machu Picchu. Our local expert would share detailed information about each site we will be visiting on this Sacred Valley connection to Machu Picchu. This makes it a the best sight seeing yet an informative experience of the Inca city.
Although Machu Picchu is at a much lower altitude than Cusco, we highly recommend you to spend two to three days in Cusco acclimatising to avoid altitude sickness.

Cusco Hotel Transfer
At 0820 in the morning, we will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. We will then travel in a tourist bus along the Urubamba river to Pisac. Pisac is home to a renowned traditional market where local farmers and craftsmen gather every weekend to sell their goods. Pisac is the best place to buy souvenirs.
We will then drive up to the archeological ruins of Pisac perched up a hill. Along the way you will be rewarded with enchanting sight of the valley below. Our local travel guide will give you a detailed guided tour of this impressive archaeological ruins.
After the tour, we will drive to Urubamba. Urubamba is also known as the heart of Sacred Valley of Incas. At Urubamba we will stop for lunch at an authentic local restaurant. After relishing on a local meal for lunch, we will continue our journey to Ollantaytambo.
Ollantaytambo has been a prominent site since Incan era. From Ollantaytambo, we will be boarding the train to Machu Picchu Town. Aguas Calientes serves as a base camp to Machu Picchu. You will be accommodated in an ensuite room. At around 0700 PM your guide would stop by at your hotel to give you a pre tour briefing.
We will start the day quite early. The hotel staff will be handing you over a snack box. Then you will be boarding the bus to Machu Picchu citadel. It will be a 25 minutes ride up the hill. We will try to be among the first ones to enter the citadel to get a captivating sight of sunrise.
Our local expert will assist you in crossing the security control. Here your passport will be verified with the entrance ticket to visit Machu Picchu.
We will then give you a two hours detailed tour of the citadel. On this guided tour, you will be visiting some of the prominent sites like the royal quarters, main plaza, temple of the sun among other sites.
After the tour, you will have some free time to walk around the citadel and explore Machu Picchu on your own. If want to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain, our guide will direct you to the entrance. You will need to book your tickets in advance.
Alternatively, you may hike to the Sun Gate. It offers a distinct view of the citadel. This view is exclusive at sunrise for those on Inca Trail.
After the tour, you will be taking a bus back to Aguas Calientes town. Here you will be boarding a train back to Ollantaytambo. Our representative will meet you at Ollantaytambo train station and will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
