The two days tour is an action packed experience. It starts from Cusco, the ancient capital of Incas and takes you to Machu Picchu pueblo or Aguas Calientes. It is a remote town and base camp to visit Machu Picchu citadel.
This tour is an extended version of the two days tour to Machu Picchu by train. With everything included you can simply relax and enjoy everything that our Machu Picchu Huayna Picchu tour has to offer and hike up to the Huayna Picchu Mountain.

Please note it is imperative that you are in a good physical condition and are acclimated in Cusco to avoid altitude sickness.
Cusco Hotel Transfer
0800 AM
We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco between 0730 and 0800 AM. Then in our private transport, we will drive you along the Sacred Valley of Incas to Ollantaytambo. Here, you will be boarding the train to Machu Picchu town (Aguas Calientes).
The train journey itself is interesting. It takes you through some Andean farms and villages along the Urubamba river. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will be accommodating you in an ensuite private hotel room.
You will have the evening to yourself. You can relax and rejuvenate in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes or visit the museum to know more about Machu Picchu. Later that evening, our local expert will be meeting you at the lobby of the hotel and will be briefing you on the following day’s itinerary.
You will need to wake up early in the morning. The hotel representative will be handing you over your snack box at the lobby of the hotel. Then you will be taking the bus to visit the Machu Picchu citadel. This will be a 30 minutes ride up the hill. Our local expert will assist you in crossing the security control. Here your entrance ticket will be verified with your original passport.
Once inside the citadel, our guide will give you a two hours guided tour of the citadel. On this tour, you will be visiting sites like the main plaza, farming terraces, ceremonial centre, remains of Inca temples and royal quarters among other sites.
After the tour, you will be climbing to the summit of Huayna Picchu Mountain, our guide will assist you to the entrance. It offers an enchanting view of Machu Picchu citadel. Here you can also visit the temple of the moon.
After the full day trip of the Inca sites you will be taking a bus back to Aguas Calientes town. You will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo train station. Our representative will be meeting you on your arrival and will be transferring you back to your hotel in Cusco.
Everything was perfectly organised. We had ample of time to hike to Huayna Picchu mountain without rushing after touring the citadel of Machu Picchu.
